Compensation: $20 per hour

Schedule:

Approximately 8 hours per week

Position Summary:

The Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator serves as a key connection between Pride of the Glens, youth and adult participants, families, and the broader community. This position supports recruitment, family engagement, communications, outreach, and participant retention for Pride of the Glens' youth and adult programs, community center activities, and neighborhood initiatives.

Working closely with the Project Director and Youth Leadership Coordinator, this position helps ensure that families are informed, welcomed, and connected to opportunities available through Pride of the Glens. The Coordinator plays a critical role in building trust, reducing barriers to participation, and strengthening relationships throughout the community.

This position is based at the Pride of the Glens Community Center in Dacono, Colorado. Regular in-person presence at the Community Center and in the surrounding communities served by Pride of the Glens is required to support relationship-building, community engagement, and program implementation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Family Engagement and Communication

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for participating families.
  • Communicate regularly with participants and caregivers regarding schedules, activities, transportation, events, and opportunities.
  • Conduct reminder calls, texts, emails, and follow-up communications to support participation and attendance.
  • Assist families in navigating program registration, enrollment, and participation requirements.
  • Support bilingual communication and language access for Spanish-speaking families.

Recruitment and Outreach

  • Recruit youth, adults and families for Pride of the Glens programs and events.
  • Conduct outreach through schools, community partners, neighborhood networks, and community events.
  • Build relationships with community members and help identify barriers to participation.
  • Support outreach efforts to historically underserved and underrepresented populations.

Marketing and Social Media

  • Maintain and update social media platforms, including Facebook and other communication channels.
  • Develop flyers, announcements, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Create and distribute content highlighting youth achievements, community events, and organizational activities.
  • Assist with storytelling, photography, and collection of participant success stories.

Community Events and Cultural Celebrations

  • Support planning and promotion of community events, cultural celebrations, workshops, and family activities.
  • Assist with volunteer coordination and participant engagement at events.
  • Help ensure events are welcoming, inclusive, and culturally responsive.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain participant contact information and communication records.
  • Support scheduling, registration, and tracking of program participation.
  • Assist with surveys, feedback collection, and basic program reporting.
  • Update calendars, registration forms, and communication systems.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working with families, community members, schools, youth programs, or community organizations.
  • Ability to build trust and relationships with diverse populations.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, social media platforms, and digital communication tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
