Overview

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery in Sal, Salida, Colorado, United States. Start date May 11, 2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $2,822–$2,879 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Shift: nights, 3x12 (6 pm–6 am). Setting: a Critical Access Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Directly provides patient care and monitors the patient’s response to labor, delivery, and postpartum phases; assists with breastfeeding education as needed
  • Promote wellness for mother during pregnancy and after delivery through continuous education
  • Educates mother about infant care and discharge planning
  • Document all events and education in the patient’s medical record using the electronic health record
  • Communicate patient condition verbally and in writing to the physician and nursing supervisor
  • Collaborate with nursery staff in the care of the mother/baby couplet
  • Assist physicians with procedures; support nurse manager as requested
  • Assist staff with emergencies in other units when possible
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for all patients in the labor and delivery area
Requirements
  • Current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • ADN from an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum of two years of relevant labor & delivery experience
  • Ability to work in a labor and delivery setting; capable of night shift
  • PALS and NRP certifications preferred
