Location: Salida
Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery in Sal, Salida, Colorado, United States. Start date May 11, 2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $2,822–$2,879 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Shift: nights, 3x12 (6 pm–6 am). Setting: a Critical Access Hospital.

Labor and delivery in a critical access hospital
- Directly provides patient care and monitors the patient’s response to labor, delivery, and postpartum phases; assists with breastfeeding education as needed
- Promote wellness for mother during pregnancy and after delivery through continuous education
- Educates mother about infant care and discharge planning
- Document all events and education in the patient’s medical record using the electronic health record
- Communicate patient condition verbally and in writing to the physician and nursing supervisor
- Collaborate with nursery staff in the care of the mother/baby couplet
- Assist physicians with procedures; support nurse manager as requested
- Assist staff with emergencies in other units when possible
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for all patients in the labor and delivery area
- Current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- ADN from an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of two years of relevant labor & delivery experience
- Ability to work in a labor and delivery setting; capable of night shift
- PALS and NRP certifications preferred
- Guaranteed hours (36 per week) on a travel assignment
- 13-week contracted travel opportunity
- Night shift schedule (6 pm–6 am)
- Professional collaboration in a labor & delivery unit within a critical access setting
- Continuous opportunity to apply existing obstetric and neonatal skills in a stable assignment
