Requirements- Bachelor's degree in nursing required; master's preferred
- 2 years of wound care experience
- 5 years of experience in clinical setting, either inpatient or outpatient setting
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Active Registered Nurse License in Colorado
- Wound care certification preferred (CWCN, CWS, CWCA, WCC)
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to handle high-stress situations effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations
- Previous management or leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to identify issues, analyze then thoroughly, and develop effective solutions
- Oversee the daily operation of the outpatient nursing department
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Work with patients on any outpatient testing that needs to be performed
- Complete infusions, wound care, EKGs, stress testing, port access, allergy shots, and other clinical procedures within the RN scope.
- Work with inpatient unit staff for wound care needs on the unit.
- Monitor and maintain inventory for nursing supplies for the department
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Play a vital role in patient care by providing patient safety, quality of care, and patient satisfaction
- Communicating with providers, nurse leadership, and administration on concerns and improvements
- Work with the Chief Nursing Officer and the finance department to manage and create a budget for the department
- Ensuring that patient records are accurate and documentation is completed in a timely manner
- Lead quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Addressing any patient complaints and working with the quality department to get resolution with complaints
- Maintain schedule for the outpatient department
- Manage staff and training within the department
