Location: Frisco

Summit County Public Health is seeking a dedicated and community focused Registered Nurse to join our team. This position plays a vital role in protecting and promoting the health of Summit County residents through disease prevention, health education, clinical services, harm reduction, community partnerships and public health emergency preparedness.

This position works collaboratively with individuals, families, healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, and local agencies to deliver public health programs and services that advance health equity and improve quality of life throughout Summit County.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program. A minimum of two (2) years in community health, public health, clinical nursing, case management, or a related nursing field is preferred. Applicants must hold a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado and maintain current BLS and CPR certifications throughout employment.

Reliable transportation and vehicle insurance, a valid Colorado Driver's License, and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 30 lbs. is required. Must be familiar with MS Office and able to apply knowledge of computers to work within secure databases. Bilingual, English/Spanish helpful.

Education, Experience, and Formal Training
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Knowledge of public health principles, disease prevention and health promotion
  • Strong clinical nursing skills and assessment abilities
  • Ability to investigate communicable diseases and implement control measures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred
  • Experience presenting information to community groups and professional audiences
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively
Possible Work Schedule

Full Time, Weekdays and occasional weekends
