Travel LPN - LPN

Location: Springfield

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a 13-week long-term care day shift assignment in southeast Colorado, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and current BLS certification.

Job Details

• Long-term care (LTC) facility setting,

• Day shift schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 36 hours per week,

• Responsible for medication administration and treatments as ordered by physicians,

• Oversees and supervises CNAs performing resident care,

• When working concurrently with an RN, the RN assumes the Charge Nurse role and the LPN reports to the RN,

• May be required to work all shifts or serve as a Treatment Nurse as needed,

Job Requirements

• Current LPN license required at start of assignment - license required if applicable,

• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience required,

• Current BLS/BCLS certification required,

• LTC experience required,

Additional Information

• Assigns, directs, and supervises resident care, ensuring CNAs complete assigned tasks,

• Administers medications and treatments per physician orders,

• Documents nurse's notes for acute illness, physician visits, passes, and returns in a timely manner,

• Notifies the physician, families, and MDPOA of changes in resident status, new orders, and updates,

• Reports changes in resident condition or staffing concerns to the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and/or Resident Care Coordinator,

• Attends required meetings and educational sessions,

• Regular attendance and punctuality are expected
