On the Medical Surgical platform, the Med Surg/ICU RN Manager partners closely with intensive and critical care counterparts to deliver seamless, high-acuity care across med-surg, step-down, and ICU pathways—supported by modern monitoring, smart infusion technology, optimized EHR tools, virtual nursing, and remote telemetry—while serving a community-focused care population in a 50+ bed hospital that values access, compassion, and continuity.
Reporting to a Director of Inpatient/Acute Care Services, the Med Surg/ICU RN Manager leads a supportive structure that includes charge nurses, clinical coordinators, and an education team, with collaborative backing from hospitalists, intensivists, pharmacy, PT/OT, case management, and infection prevention to ensure safe staffing, smooth throughput, and sustained quality metrics.
Day to day, the Med Surg/ICU RN Manager steers staffing models, budgets, performance improvement, sepsis and rapid response initiatives, accreditation readiness, staff onboarding and competency validation, and interprofessional teamwork, all within a culture of Just Culture accountability—surrounded by friendly nurses and a diverse, inclusive team of healthcare professionals who genuinely enjoy helping one another succeed.
