Public Health Nurse

Grand County is seeking one individual to join the Public Health Office. Placement as a Registered Nurse I or II will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. This position is responsible for ensuring the provision of the defined public health programs services in a professional, coordinated, and collaborative manner; assisting in promoting the health and well-being of communities, families, and individuals in the County of Grand.

Under general supervision, performs comprehensive professional public health nursing services in a variety of office, clinic, and community settings. Represents the department as a health resource person in community health organizations, programs, and activities.

Pay range (1950 annual hours): $57,540.93 - $87,035.82 (Registered Nurse I), DOQE

$63,438.87 - $95,956.99 (Registered Nurse II), DOQE

Hiring Incentive: $5,000.00 ($2500 paid after 6 months in position, $2500 paid after 2 years in position)

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree; and one (1) year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado; BLS/CPR.
• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish preferred. Certified Medical Interpreter in Spanish preferred.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree; and six (6) years of experience in acute care or public health; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado; BLS/CPR
• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish preferred. Certified Medical Interpreter in Spanish preferred.
