Job TitleNight Shift Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract
LocationPagosa Springs, CO
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Onsite | Night Shift | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct observation and inpatient nursing care within the RN scope of practice on the Med/Surg unit.
- Assess and monitor patient clinical status across respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, pain, skin integrity, and mental health domains.
- Identify and communicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate provider using SBAR and approved handoff procedures.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other ordered treatments safely and accurately.
- Complete required Cerner documentation including assessments, nursing tasks, care plans, patient education, and treatments.
- Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring and take appropriate action based on rhythm interpretation while maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and infection prevention standards.
- Minimum of 5 years of Med/Surg or Emergency Room nursing experience required.
- Previous travel nursing experience required.
- Cerner EHR/EMR experience required.
- Graduate of an accredited RN program required.
- Current Colorado RN license (or ability to obtain), in good standing.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS required or must be completed within 3 months of start.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on night shift and manage competing patient care priorities.
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation in an inpatient setting.
