• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• BSN is desired but not required
• Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Lab experience
• Orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT surgical procedures and interventional pain management experience is required.
• Current licensure as RN, in good standing
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• CNOR certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Must have Cerner EHR experience.
• 2+ years of experience

• Coordinating and managing safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care for surgical patients throughout the perioperative process including the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
• Provide support, education, direct care to patients, and act as a liaison between the surgical team and the patient families/support systems.
• Using a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care, the perioperative nurse works closely with the entire surgical team.
• The perioperative registered nurse may serve as a: (1) Circulating Nurse, (2) 1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse, and/or (3) 2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse depending on level of experience and training.
