Sentara is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) at Norfolk General Hospital's Medical Specialties LEVEL UP Program in partnership with the Emergency Department, in Norfolk Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity for new RN grads that are seeking to land in the Emergency Department (ED).

All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, and supporting patients and families with education and compassionate service. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, make clinical adjustments, and advocate for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based practices.

We are the first in the Sentara System and Second in the State of Virginia to win the PRISM Award (Premiere Recognition in the Specialty of Med-Surg). Our 42-bed Medical Specialties Unit has a team with 20+ Years Certified as Medical Surgical Nurses. We provide care for patients with CHF, Sickle Cell, Renal Failure, Vascular, Sepsis, COPD, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis with Surgical Interventions, Wound Care and various disease processes.

• RN Degree REQUIRED

• Virginia RN License REQUIRED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire

• Prior RN experience PREFERRED
• Emergency Department (ED) Passion PREFERRED!
