Surgical Assistant, Operating Room Nurse, RN Nurse
Perioperative Registered Nurse
Weekdays. Either five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days.
The Perioperative RN is responsible for coordinating and managing safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care for surgical patients throughout the perioperative process including the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. The nurse will provide support, education, and direct care to patients while acting as a liaison between the surgical team and the patient families/support systems. Utilizing a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care, the perioperative nurse works closely with the entire surgical team.
Coordinate and manage care for surgical patients across all perioperative phases.
Support and educate patients and their families regarding the surgical process.
Act as a liaison between the surgical team and patient families/support systems.
Function as Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub Nurse, or 2nd Scrub Nurse based on experience and training.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing.
Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Lab experience is required.
Experience with orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT surgical procedures, and interventional pain management.
Current licensure as RN in good standing.
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Cerner EHR experience is required.
BSN is desired but not required.
