Perioperative RN

Schedule:

Weekdays. Either five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Current RN licensure in good standing
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Cerner EHR experience
• Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Lab experience
• Experience in orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT surgical procedures, and interventional pain management

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care for surgical patients throughout the perioperative process including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
• Provide support, education, and direct care to patients while acting as a liaison between the surgical team and the patient families/support systems.
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team using a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Serve as a Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse, and/or 2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse depending on level of experience and training.
