This perioperative RN coordinates and manages safe, effective, and patient-family centered care for surgical patients across the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. The role may include Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub (Instrument), and/or 2nd Scrub (Assistant) duties depending on training and experience. Cerner EHR experience is required. A minimum of two years of perioperative experience in several surgical specialties is preferred, with the ability to support patients, families, and the surgical team throughout the perioperative continuum.

Hospital - Cerner EHR experience required
- Minimum 2 years perioperative experience with broad specialty exposure
- Coordinate and deliver safe, patient-family centered care across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases.
- Serve as Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub (Instrument), and/or 2nd Scrub (Assistant) based on training and needs.
- Collaborate with the surgical team and ancillary staff to optimize outcomes and patient experiences.
- Provide patient and family education, direct patient care, and timely status communication to families.
- Document perioperative care and procedures in Cerner EHR; ensure accuracy and compliance with policies.
- Uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards throughout the perioperative process.
- Current RN licensure in good standing
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- CNOR certification
- Cerner EHR experience
- Minimum 2 years of perioperative experience
- Experience in Gastroenterology/Endoscopy Lab;
Orthopedic, General Surgery, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, ENT; and interventional pain management is preferred - Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred but not required - Ability to work in a perioperative setting in a travel assignment
