Overview

Serve those who served. Join our dedicated care team at the Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center, where we proudly provide compassionate, high-quality care to veterans and their spouses. We're looking for mission‑driven Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support our residents with skill, integrity, and heart and to help us "Improve the Lives We Touch".

Pay & Benefits

Pay Range
: RN: $34.29 – $51.42 per hour; LPN: $25.61 – $35.90 per hour, based on experience and qualifications (eligible for shift differentials).

Shift Differentials

  • Weekday Nights – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am – $3.00 per hour
  • Weekend Days – Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm – $3.50 per hour
  • Weekend Nights – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am – $5.00 per hour

Sign‑on Bonus
: $3,000

Responsibilities

Responsible for the organization and evaluation of direct nursing care for a specific assignment.

Qualifications

Essential Job Functions
:

  • Demonstrated knowledge, skill, and understanding of the nurse role in a critical care facility.
  • Knowledge of gerontology, rehabilitative, or psychiatric nursing.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment including computer software applications (e‑mail, surveillance equipment/cameras, scheduling software, accessing required documents).
  • Demonstrated ability to recognize and respond to opportunities for improvement through continual learning and changes in approach based on situation and professional practice behavior.
  • Knowledge of care‑based practices (creating care plans, leading team meetings).
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees, and administration.

Minimum Required Education/Experience
:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Minimum of three years of work experience in direct nursing care is preferred.

Licenses or Certificates
:
Valid state license as an RN. Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
