Location: Walsenburg

Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic emergency department team. As an ER RN, you’ll play a critical role in delivering fast, efficient, and compassionate care to patients in their most urgent moments.

Shift Schedule
:
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday – 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Pay Range
: $34.29 – $51.43 per hour based on experience and qualifications (eligible for shift differentials). Full‑time position.

Shift Differentials
:

  • Weekday Nights (Mon‑Thu) – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am – $3.00 per hour
  • Weekend Days (Sat‑Sun) – 7:00 am to 7:00 pm – $3.50 per hour
  • Weekend Nights (Fri‑Sun) – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am – $5.00 per hour

Sign‑On Bonus
: $3,000.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Assess and stabilize patients in life‑threatening emergencies such as strokes, heart attacks, or severe injuries.
  • Triage cases in order of urgency and need.
  • Administer medication as instructed by physicians.
  • Start intravenous lines, perform intubations, patient stitches, and sutures as directed.
  • Enter and maintain incoming patient records.
  • Collaborate closely with the emergency staff to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements
:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Active Colorado RN license.
  • Three years of RN experience; previous ER experience preferred.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
  • TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification, to be completed within one month of hire.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional multitasking and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work closely with a team and patients.
  • Willingness to continually learn the latest advancements in emergency medicine.
  • Ability to place intravenous lines, set bones, and perform other emergency medical tasks quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
