Location: Walsenburg
Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic emergency department team. As an ER RN, you’ll play a critical role in delivering fast, efficient, and compassionate care to patients in their most urgent moments.
Shift Schedule
:
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday – 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Pay Range
: $34.29 – $51.43 per hour based on experience and qualifications (eligible for shift differentials). Full‑time position.
Shift Differentials
:
- Weekday Nights (Mon‑Thu) – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am – $3.00 per hour
- Weekend Days (Sat‑Sun) – 7:00 am to 7:00 pm – $3.50 per hour
- Weekend Nights (Fri‑Sun) – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am – $5.00 per hour
Sign‑On Bonus
: $3,000.
Key Responsibilities
:
- Assess and stabilize patients in life‑threatening emergencies such as strokes, heart attacks, or severe injuries.
- Triage cases in order of urgency and need.
- Administer medication as instructed by physicians.
- Start intravenous lines, perform intubations, patient stitches, and sutures as directed.
- Enter and maintain incoming patient records.
- Collaborate closely with the emergency staff to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Active Colorado RN license.
- Three years of RN experience; previous ER experience preferred.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
- TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification, to be completed within one month of hire.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional multitasking and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work closely with a team and patients.
- Willingness to continually learn the latest advancements in emergency medicine.
- Ability to place intravenous lines, set bones, and perform other emergency medical tasks quickly and efficiently.
