Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a critical access hospital, requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and cross‑training between Med/Surg and the ED on night shifts.

• Active CO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required; 2 years preferred
• Must be comfortable floating between Med/Surg and the Emergency Department
• Two supervisory references (Supervisor, Manager, or Director) preferred for consideration

• Critical access hospital setting located approximately 2.5 hours from the nearest large hospital
• Position is based in the Med/Surg unit with required floating to the Emergency Department
• Patient population includes trauma cases related to a nearby major highway as well as elderly patients with a wide variety of illnesses and injuries
• Uses CPSI for electronic medical records
• 12‑hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3 shifts per week
• No on‑call responsibilities required
• A manager interview is required prior to offer
• As a critical access hospital far from a major medical center, clinicians can expect to manage a broad spectrum of acute and emergent cases independently
