American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a MS/Tele unit position requiring a CO or compact RN license and 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience.

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac telemetry, general medical-surgical, and CVA cases
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Call requirement of 2 shifts per month, which may be days or nights depending on unit needs
• Uses Pyxis medication system
• Uses Amrita documentation/charting system

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience required
• Experience in Cardiac Telemetry and Telemetry settings required
• Charting system experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac drip titration, heparin protocols, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with respiratory care including HFNC, ABG interpretation, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration
• Experience with total joint replacement patient care

• Provide direct patient care within a medical-surgical telemetry unit, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Any scrub color is acceptable
• RTO requests must be approved by the unit manager
