American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience and a CO or compact RN license.

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 18:00-06:30
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Call requirement of 2 shifts per month, which may be days or nights depending on unit needs
• Uses Pyxis medication system
• Uses Amrita documentation system
• Any scrub color permitted

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele, Cardiac Tele, or Telemetry experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with central line and PICC line care/management
• Experience with peripheral line care/management and blood product administration
• Experience in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with heparin protocols and titrating cardiac drips
• Experience with respiratory care including HFNC, ABG interpretation, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with total joint replacement patients preferred

• Care for a patient population that may include cardiac telemetry, CVA, and orthopedic total joint replacement cases
• Time off requests must be approved by the unit manager
