Job Description

The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision and oversight of nursing staff and daily nursing operations at Harmony Recovery. This role supports quality care delivery, regulatory compliance, staff development, and the overall success of the program.

What You'll Do Clinical Leadership & Patient Care
  • Perform all duties of a Registered Nurse, including patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and treatment implementation.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed to ensure continuity of services and appropriate staffing coverage.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff by answering practice-related questions and providing guidance on patient care issues.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and help advance departmental goals related to patient care, safety, and outcomes.
Team Development & Supervision
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a high-performing nursing team through coaching, mentorship, training, and ongoing feedback.
  • Foster staff competency and professional growth through clinical supervision and support.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, huddles, rounds, and organizational initiatives.
  • Assist the Nurse Manager with recruiting activities, including interviewing and onboarding clinical staff.
Operations & Workflow Management
  • Coordinate staff schedules and serve as a primary point of contact for scheduling adjustments and workflow concerns.
  • Collaborate with leadership to optimize workflows, improve department processes, and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and support patient care needs during staff absences.
Quality, Compliance & Documentation
  • Conduct audits of nursing documentation to ensure quality care is being provided and properly documented.
  • Provide education and guidance regarding policies, procedures, equipment, and clinical best practices.
  • Oversee laboratory processes to ensure compliance with protocols, testing accuracy, and inventory management.
  • Maintain confidential employee health records, including vaccinations, PPD testing, urine drug screens, and occupational health documentation.
  • Complete all required Relias Learning and organizational training within established timelines.
What You Bring
  • BSN required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of related experience
    , preferably in a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred; strong leadership experience highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of nursing practice.
  • Ability to supervise clinical staff in a managed care or behavioral health setting.
  • Knowledge of mental health and/or substance use treatment rules, regulations, and standards of care.
  • Familiarity with community resources.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to effectively use electronic systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to build therapeutic, professional, and collaborative relationships with clients, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with professionals at all levels…
