RN Med / Surg

Work where others vacation in beautiful Salida, CO Position: RN Med / Surg

SHIFTS:

nights - 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week. No mandatory overtime, but overtime is allowable. Schedule will include every other weekend.

EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of an Associate's Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred. One year experience is required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must maintain current, active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado. Must maintain current BLS. ACLS and PALS preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Directly provides acute care and swing bed patient care as a team member at the highest standards of evidence-based practice;
• Evaluating health status through the collection and assessment of health data;
• Provide health teaching and health counseling;
• Provide therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others;
• Execute delegated medical functions;
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans;
• Correctly, accurately, and timely documentation in the medical record all assessment, interventions, teaching, and care coordination efforts of patient care.
• Collaborates with ancillary departments and physician providers to address the medical, social, and spiritual needs of the patient in a culturally and age appropriate manner.

Shift: Nights 6P - 6A.
