Travel Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Orthopedics

Seeking experienced Travel Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care on a Med/Surg unit specializing in Orthopedics at a busy hospital. This 13-week assignment offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs, including cardiac drips such as amio, dilt, and heparin.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient progress and procedures accurately in Meditech EMR system.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate concerns as necessary.
• Maintain safety standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist with post-op surgical patients and manage telemetry equipment.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with valid state certification.
• Minimum 1-year recent acute Med/Surg RN experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR system highly desirable.
• Capable of managing patient ratios of 5:1 in a high-energy unit.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive and energetic attitude.
