CNA (Veterans Center) -PRN varied days and shifts , $22.46 shift differentials ($3.00-$5.00

At Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center, we provide exceptional care to veterans. We’re seeking compassionate, dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who are dedicated to improving the lives we touch. This is a PRN position.

$22.46 per hour

• Weekday Nights – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 7:00 pm – 7:00 am – $3.00 per hour
• Weekend Days – Saturday, Sunday – 7:00 am – 7:00 pm – $3.50 per hour
• Weekend Nights – Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 7:00 pm – 7:00 am – $5.00 per hour

Responsible for a team‑approached commitment to providing high‑quality patient care under the direction of licensed nursing personnel. Supports residents/patients to be as independent as possible.

• Promotes the mission, vision and values of SPRHC.
• Assists with daily living activities (serving meals, feeding, ambulating, transferring, turning, positioning, oral care, toileting and general hygiene).
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output.
• Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources, transporting, responding to call lights, and reporting observations to the nursing supervisor.
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Ensures residents/patients are clean, groomed and ready for special tasks such as visits and physician appointments.
• Reports any changes in resident/patient condition promptly to licensed nursing professionals.
• Assists in admitting and discharging patients/residents, including inventory of possessions.
• Maintains work operations by following policies, procedures and regulations.
• Completes daily rounding to ensure the resident environment is safe and clean; assists with cleaning and organizing rooms and property.
• Protects SPRHC’s value by keeping patient information confidential.
• Gains ongoing job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining licensure.
• Performs other functions as required to fulfill the expectations of the CNA.

High school diploma required. Certification with accredited training course through the State of Colorado for Certified Nurse Assistant. Previous work experience is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of relevant nursing care.
• Friendly and professional bedside manner.
• Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees, and administration.

Must obtain annual flu vaccination and any job‑specific immunizations. Required to submit to a TB test.

Certified Nurse Assistant license is required. CPR certification is preferred.

Work is subject to recurring and inflexible deadlines and frequent interruptions. A task list of specific duties may be added to a job description providing more detailed instruction for specific tasks.
