Infection Control Nurse​/Development Coordinator

Skyline Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center seeks an Infection Control Nurse/Staff Development Coordinator to lead infection prevention and staff education in our senior living community in Cañon City. As part of Stellar Living's collaborative, respectful, and innovative culture, you will design and oversee infection control programs, conduct surveillance and audits, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will also plan and deliver staff training, support clinical best practices, and help our dedicated team provide safe, high-quality care that enhances our residents' daily living experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs for the facility.
• Provide orientation, ongoing education, and skills training for nursing and care staff.
• Conduct audits, surveillance, and risk assessments to identify and reduce infection risks.
• Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, and state regulations, and prepare for surveys.
• Lead outbreak investigations and coordinate reporting to appropriate agencies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident safety and quality of care.
• Maintain accurate infection control data, reports, and training documentation.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on best practices for hygiene and safety.
