We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and beautification of our community parks. As a Parks Maintenance Worker/Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our parks remain safe, clean, and welcoming for all visitors.
This full time position is open until filled.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and removing weeds.
- Inspect playground equipment and park facilities for safety and functionality.
- Collect and dispose of trash and litter from park grounds and facilities.
- Assist in planting trees, flowers, and shrubs to enhance City entrance features.
- Conduct regular maintenance on park benches, signs, and structures.
- Operate and maintain various tools and machinery used in park upkeep.
- Assist in coordinating and supporting community events and activities held in the parks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions carefully.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Valid driver’s license is required. Ability to obtain a CDL license during employment is required.
- Ability to obtain Colorado Pesticide Applicator's license during employment is required.
This position involves outdoor work and requires physical effort in various weather conditions. The role may include weekend and holiday shifts as needed to accommodate park events and maintenance schedules.
