Status: Full-Time Seasonal (Winter 26/27)
Salary Range: $23 -$25 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:The Ski & Ride School (SRS) Base Supervisor is responsible for helping to oversee the daily indoor operations of the SRS while ensuring a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. This position provides leadership for administrative and operational functions, supports instructors and front desk staff, coordinates daily staffing assignments, and serves as one of the primary resources for indoor guest and child supervision needs.
The SRS Base Supervisor works closely with SRS management and the On-Snow Supervisor to ensure seamless communication, efficient daily operations, and exceptional guest service while upholding the company's values and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Help oversee the daily indoor operations of the Ski & Ride School (SRS).
- Assist SRS management in creating and managing the daily instructor schedule.
- Assign and oversee daily operational duties, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the SRS facility.
- Rotate instructor support assignments (boot fitting, ski technician duties, equipment assistance, etc.) to promote fairness and operational efficiency.
- Ensure the SRS facility, instructor areas, and guest spaces remain clean, organized, and prepared throughout the day.
- Oversee classroom and break area organization to ensure smooth transitions for lessons returning indoors.
- Supervise children during instructor breaks or when instructors require temporary assistance.
- Monitor children who require a temporary break from their lesson and safely reintegrate them into their class when appropriate.
- Coordinate with the On-Snow Supervisor to reunite children with their lessons when classes are away from the base area.
- Contact parents or guardians when children need to be picked up due to illness, injury, restroom accidents, behavioral concerns, or other circumstances.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating school programs, field trips, and other SRS programs.
- Support front desk operations, including lesson sales, guest check-in, and customer service as needed.
- Respond to guest questions, concerns, and service issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Communicate important operational updates, guest concerns, and incidents to SRS management.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, children, and employees.
- Work collaboratively with the On-Snow Supervisor to ensure seamless communication and efficient daily operations between indoor and outdoor SRS functions.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including professional appearance standards, dress code, teaching standards, guest service expectations, and drug and alcohol policies.
- Lead by example by demonstrating professionalism, exceptional guest service, effective communication, and adherence to company policies and values.
- Adhere to and enforce child safety laws and mandated reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support SRS operations.

- Maintain an exceptional level of guest service in all interactions with guests, fellow employees, and management.

- Must be able to ski or snowboard green and blue level runs proficiently. Ability to ski or snowboard black level runs is preferred.
