Summary

The role of the Zipline Driver / First Responder is to facilitate driving Zipline guests from the bottom of Chair 4 to the start of Zipline Course. Along with picking guests up at the conclusion of the course and returning them to the base area. This role would also act as the First Responder in case of an on-course emergency.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Work with Zipline Manager and Assistant Manager to provide professional, friendly and courteous service to guests and employees, including responding to on-course medical emergencies, transporting injured guests safely off the mountain and ensuring general mountain safety.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Zipline procedures alongside the Manager and Assistant Manager with emergency response protocols.
  • Communicate with trails department daily for road condition updates.
  • Be prepared to be a team leader in the event of a course evacuation.
  • Follow safety procedures at all times with transporting guests. Immediately report to your supervisor any existing or potential safety hazards on the mountain access road. Mitigate hazards when possible.
  • Check safety and first aid equipment daily and maintain in good condition.
  • Work with Risk Management, Patrol, and Security departments in investigations.
  • Communicate with and assist Zipline Tours as needed.
  • Assist in daily operational tasks as required.
Education, Training and Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) – College preferred.
  • Outdoor Emergency Care and CPR for the professional rescuer.
Other requirements
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate vehicles including vans, trucks, UTVs and ATVs, in mountainous conditions.
  • Must be able to function effectively at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher.
  • Must be able to write legibly.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Able to lift 100 pounds.

The wage for this position is $26.00/hr.
