Operating in Colorado for more than 100 years, the company’s mining and milling operations are located near Leadville, Kremmling and Empire. The Climax Mine sits between Frisco and Leadville—highest incorporated city in the U.S. Employees who are required to work on‑site may receive a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.

The elevation of over 10,000 ft and surrounding mountains provide opportunities for hiking, camping, ultramarathon activities, skiing and boating. • Assist with field surveys in a mining environment
• Assist with buried utility location surveys
• Assist and complete a survey "as‑built" on new and existing features
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and electronic files
• Prepare and present findings to Engineering, Geology, and Operations personnel
• Compile data for blast hole patterns, road designs, etc., including basic cartography
• Perform other duties as required

• Six (6) months of experience in mining, construction or a related field
• A valid driver’s license is required for this job

• High School diploma or GED
• Previous surveying experience
• Ability to learn and operate computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing (keyboard dexterity)

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $21.00 - $29.00 per hour
. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonuses, benefits or retirement contributions. Additional discretionary and incentive payments may be provided based on performance.
