NDT Level 2 X‑Ray Technician
Reports to the Quality Manager. The role begins onsite in Penrose, CO, and then transfers to Pueblo, CO.
Responsibilities- Conduct radiographic inspections using X‑ray technology to assess solid propellant grains for defects and imperfections.
- Evaluate images and interpret test results in accordance with engineering specifications, blueprints, and process instructions.
- Document findings accurately and maintain historical records for quality assurance.
- Perform daily equipment setup, calibration, and quality checks to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct radiation safety surveys and complete required annual radiation safety training.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Level 2 certification in radiography per National Aerospace Standard NAS
410 Rev 6. - Minimum of 80 hours of formal classroom education in radiography.
- At least 1000 hours of hands‑on radiography experience.
- Minimum of 40 hours of digital radiography classroom training and 200 hours of digital radiographic testing experience.
- Experience performing digital radiographic inspections of solid propellants or rubber components.
Hourly range: $36 – $42
