We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, assisting with gift store and helping with gift purchases, To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and a love of working with people.
You should be able to work various shifts. Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent experience for our guests.
The right individual would have a love for people and an understanding of retail, sales and computers. Experience is always a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual.
Responsibilities- Greet customers as they enter
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Prepare beverages following recipes
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- Keep the bar area and gift store clean and stocked
- Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
- Assist customers with gift store purchases
- Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Basic math skills
- Retail experience is a plus
- Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
- High school diploma; relevant training is a plus
Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:- Buena Vista, CO:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Guest services: 1 year (Preferred)
- Barista experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Day Shift (Preferred)
