Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Know and enforce safety initiatives consistent with company guidelines.
Act as Manager-on-duty in the absences of a Store Manager.
Create a positive team environment.
Support Telluride Ski & Golf sustainability initiatives.
Maintain store operation within posted hours, 09:00-18:00.
Adhere to Telluride Ski & Golf policies and procedures.
Promote, support and understand all activities and events occurring on or off the mountain.
Proficient in POS operations including opening and closing procedures.
Perform cashier functions: operate cash register; take payment and return correct change; process credit card payments along with returns and shipping fees as needed.
Remove and record amount of cash in register at end of shift and complete deposit slip to accounting department at the end of each daily shift.
Provide a fun guest experience that exceeds members/guests expectations.
Oversee receiving goods, tagging, and transferring.
Assist in inventory counts as needed and re-counts.
Create pull-lists as needed and ensure proper communication to warehouse staff.
Collect warehouse items and receive them into store with accurate transfer in POS.
Prepare the shipping of product as needed.
Check voicemail for new messages and return any calls that are appropriate.
Assist with the promotion and execution of retail shop sales.
Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
Clean shelves, counters, floors, and merchandise as needed.
Set up advertising displays.
Communicate merchandising and sales techniques with Resort Store Manager.
Answer customers questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
Wraps or bags merchandise for customers.
Refer customer problems and complaints to managers or other senior staff members if appropriate.
Train new staff on all store operations.
Perform related tasks or special projects as assigned.
Promote products by wearing clothing lines while working in stores.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing staff complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED). One year minimum of retail experience or related supervisory experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of or ability to learn point of sale systems, inventory systems, basic accounting, familiar with Microsoft Office, internet search engines.

Must be able to identify areas that may need improvement and have initiative to seek solutions.
Must be a team player.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime.
