Shortage Control Associate
Join our team and help keep our store a safe and welcoming environment by preventing theft and delivering excellent customer service. As a Shortage Control Associate (SCA), you will be the first line of defense at store entrances, exits, and other high‑risk areas.
Key Responsibilities- Exhibit command presence and a professional appearance at all times.
- Stand positioned at the front of the store, remaining vigilant and aware of surroundings.
- Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a friendly greeting.
- Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft.
- Maintain a clear understanding of top shortage areas and available theft‑reduction programs.
- Communicate theft‑prevention information during store rallies and collaborate with the Manager on Duty.
- Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates and enforce safety standards.
- Train associates on shortage‑reduction programs and model safe practices.
- Report theft incidents and suspicious activities to the Manager on Duty promptly.
- Analyze business trends and review data to support loss‑prevention initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and exhibit a positive, energetic demeanor.
- Work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making.
- 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor the store environment.
- Strong communication skills with customers and co‑workers.
- Leadership skills that foster productive business relationships.
- Ability to handle flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

You will enjoy a competitive wage of $15.50 per hour, flexible hours, and an associate discount.
