Overview

Store Manager — Base Pay $22.00 - $24.00 / Hour. Job Category Retail. Employee Type Full Time Non-Exempt.

Store Managers are the heart and soul of the Lids brand, accountable for all aspects of the retail store performance, achieving key results, delivering exceptional customer service, and creating a fun and inclusive environment for the team. They provide product expertise and ensure engagement across store operations.

• People & Training Development:
  Manage store hiring strategy, onboarding, ongoing training, performance management, and documentation. Lead and monitor training for new programs and initiatives. Address employee concerns and collaborate with internal support as needed. Foster a respectful, inclusive team environment and recognize team members for their contributions.
• Customer
  
  Experience:
  
  Lead selling strategy to achieve KPIs and sales targets; deliver exceptional customer service; resolve customer feedback and escalations; educate customers on Lids membership programs and in-store offers.
• Operations:
  Ensure scheduling and payroll compliance; plan and manage staff schedules; handle store disruptions and operational continuity; implement company directives and maintain safety policies; manage store technology, equipment, and facilities; perform cash handling and assist in inventory preparation and audits.
• Product & Inventory Management:
  Drive product strategy, supervise receiving, merchandising, and inventory flow; optimize backroom organization; ensure vendor compliance and pricing accuracy; lead weekly markdowns and visual merchandising; manage transfers and ship-backs; maintain VM standards and seasonal updates.
• Other:
  Collaborate across store channels/districts using company communications platforms; supervise and support store performance to meet business objectives.

• Proven supervisory experience with ability to train and assess retention; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve sales results while minimizing loss; ability and willingness to travel overnight for training or meetings; flexibility to work varying days/hours and maintain excellent attendance.
• Strong managerial skills and capability to lead a team in a retail setting.

Pay Transparency:
