Salida Mountain Sports is a specialty outdoor retailer located in the heart of the Rockies in Salida, Colorado. We serve a passionate community of backcountry skiers, split boarders, hikers, bikers, and mountain athletes. Our goal is simple: provide great gear, honest advice, and a welcoming shop for locals and visitors alike.
We’re looking for another Outdoor Gear Specialist to join our crew and help deliver an awesome customer experience.

What You'll Do- Help customers find the right gear for their adventures
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on skis, split boards, apparel, and outdoor gear like backpacks, tents and sleeping bags
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor
- Assist with merchandising and restocking
- Help support demo program and shop events
- Work collaboratively with a small, passionate team
- Previous outdoor specialty retail sales experience
- Experience with skiing or snowboarding or in the industry
- Knowledge of backcountry and touring equipment
- Passion for mountain sports and the outdoor community
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to work weekends and holidays during busy seasons
- Experience with ski or snowboard tech work
- Basic boot fitting experience
- Work in a fun, community-focused mountain shop

Part-time or full-time depending on availability.
Pay:
From $21.00 per hour
