** Description*
* Under general supervision, complete logging of drill samples, conduct geologic mapping and complete resource block models. Provide technical expertise, guidance and leadership in geological exploration and resource modeling.
+ Perform logging of core and reverse circulation drill cuttings and peer review evaluation of Geologist I and II logging quality
+ Supervise and direct drilling, road construction and drill sample preparation by contractors
+ Integrate and interpret all geological data (e.g. rock type, alteration, structure), assay, and mineralogical data into geologic maps and internally consistent cross sections and level plans
+ Provide coaching and mentoring to Geologist I and II to develop their skills
+ Supervise a team of Geologists in the completion of computerized resource block models that meet corporate modeling standards
+ Maintain current working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local regulations
+ Provide guidance and counsel to the site management team on applicable programs, practices and existing/proposed local, state and federal regulations
+ Prepare and update drill hole database, maps of deposits and other exploration records
+ Work with Metallurgists in providing samples for processing testing and evaluation and in the development of ore types
+ Perform surface and underground geologic mapping
+ Assist in the formulation of short-range plans and budget preparation for geological exploration and evaluation at assigned site
+ Performs other duties as required
** Qualifications*
* ** Minimum Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in Geology or related scientific discipline
** and
* * five (5) years of experience in Geology or related scientific field,
** OR*
* + Master's degree in Geology
** and
* * three (3) years experience in Geology or related scientific field
** Preferred*

** Criteria/Conditions*
* + Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
+ Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
+ Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
+ Work is in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
