Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Natural Resources team as Staff Environmental Biologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Aquatic Resources Delineation Reports, Habitat Assessments, and other ecological surveys.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct field investigations:
Aquatic Resources Delineation and Wetland Determination, Wildlife and Habitat Surveys, and Environmental Assessments. - Assist in the preparation of various Natural Resources related reports, including Biological Resource Evaluations, Aquatic Resources Delineation Reports, Critical Issues Analyses, NEPA documents, and Environmental Resource Inventories.
- Perform site visits to document and investigate natural resources.
- Ensure all assessments are completed within project timelines and budget constraints.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to support project objectives.
- Perform other project duties, as assigned.
- Maintain a utilization target of 90%.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a Natural Resources position.
- Basic knowledge of environmental regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness for occasional travel for site assessments.
- Experience conducting aquatic resources delineations.
- Experience conducting habitat and wildlife surveys.
- Knowledge of Texas vegetation and wildlife.
