Job DescriptionThe Security Technician II at SSR Mining Cripple Creek & Victor supports site safety and security by protecting personnel, property, and operations. This role performs patrols, monitors security systems, responds to incidents, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Day To Day- Conduct random inspections of vehicles, property and high security areas. Be able to recognize unauthorized items or circumstances.
- Conduct investigations on incidents that occur on the property. Competent in researching information, questioning individuals, and filling out necessary paperwork.
- Conduct roving patrols.
- Be willing and able to work overtime, accept abrupt schedule changes, respond in a timely manner to emergency callouts.
- Write reports on events of the day. Must write legibly and express ideas factually, accurately and to-the-point.
- Communicate with Security Supervisor regarding any situation that may affect the company.
- Monitor the refinery security systems including responding to alarms.
- Demonstrate professional and courteous people and phone skills.
- Train in procedures for handling emergency calls.
- Train on Security Policies and Procedures manual.
- Train in access control and CCTV monitoring.
- Demonstrate good computer skills.
- Demonstrate good housekeeping.
- Monitor all delivery trucks.

Required Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional and courteous demeanor
- Basic to intermediate computer skills for report writing and security system use
- Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established security policies and procedures
- Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and respond to emergency callouts
- Must pass a security background check
- Prior security experience in an industrial, mining, refinery, or high-security environment
- Experience conducting patrols, vehicle and property inspections, and monitoring restricted or high-security areas
- Experience with incident investigations, including information gathering, interviewing individuals, and completing accurate reports
- Experience monitoring security systems, including alarms, access control, and CCTV
- Role is based at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine, located in Teller County, Colorado.
- The Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers in this position are routinely exposed to conditions at various work sites throughout this range of elevations and must be physically capable of working at this altitude.
- Weather conditions can and do change frequently and can become severe at times.

For applicants residing in CO, the hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role will depend on the level, and the range of the hourly rate is $32.00/hr. – $34.00/hr benefits: 401(k); medical/dental/vision insurance; employee share purchase plan, PTO, and STI.
