JOB TITLE: Security Officer/Guard

FLSA: Non-Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Security/Surveillance

WAGE:
Starting $17.25 - $18.25
+ Tips (Role is in a Tip pool position. The tips earned by everyone in these roles is split evenly based on hours worked) (Wage also depends on experience.)

LOCATION: Central City

POSITION REPORTS TO: Security/Surveillance Manager

SUMMARY

Purpose/Description

Guard or patrol, premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Checking I.D. to verify that all guests are at least 21 years of age.

This position requires you to be mobile for the entire shift (8-10 hours).

This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Gaming Support license from the State of Colorado Division of Gaming.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Short-term on-the-job training

Knowledge

Public Safety and Security

Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people, data, property.

Knowledge of the I.C.M.Ps to assure compliance with State laws and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties may involve performing physical exertion: constant brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, bending, walking and crouching/stooping, pushing and standing for entire work shift, with standard breaks, in order to perform duties. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
