Provides protection for employees, guests and property.

• Assures that the property is adequately secure and under surveillance, including monitoring for minors, checking IDs, cashing out items left by customers, and reporting safety hazards.
• Inspects and evaluates security equipment.
• Maintains good customer service skills such as managing cash, cleaning the casino and attending to guests' needs.
• Keeps a log of and stores lost and found items.
• Exercises sound judgment in the planning and organization of proper procedures for security.
• Fills out incident reports for every code blue and anytime the Colorado County Police Department, DOG, or any other outside agency is called.
• Performs table drop, blackjack fills/credits, jackpot/fills and other security related functions.
• Establishes and maintains rapport with local law‑enforcement agencies and personnel.

• Thorough knowledge of the casino security industry, including slots, blackjack, poker and Colorado Limited Gaming Act requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent; at least six months experience in the casino industry is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; to write routine reports and correspondence; to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

Must be able to obtain a valid State of Colorado Gaming License.

• Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Mobility required; good eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Normal vision, hearing range and absence of color blindness.
• Capacity to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Understanding and compliance with policies and procedures, job description, daily memoranda and other instructions.

Work is performed in a casino setting with heavy customer contact. Must tolerate varying noise levels, temperature, illumination and air quality.
