Ensures all trucks, trailers and yard tractors are in working order and are compliant to federal standards.

• Demonstrate proficiency in inspection, repair and diagnosis of diesel engines, powertrain components including differentials, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts and wheel ends; electrical systems such as starters, alternators and lights; HVAC systems; steering systems; mechanical electronics including ECMs, ECUs, sensors, etc.; engine bolt‑on items such as turbos, fans, clutches; cooling system; brake systems including ABS & air disk brakes; suspension systems including spring and air, tire issues, DPF and DOC devices.
• Perform electrical system repairs, cooling system maintenance and complete vehicle diagnosis.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on tractor and trailer equipment including routine technical repairs and completing repair orders.
• Perform maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, lift‑gates and other company‑owned equipment.
• Abide by all Company policies and safety rules and assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Maintain repairs for Class A trucks, trailers and yard tractors.
• Safely operate gauges, forklifts, shunt truck, torches, grinders and various hand and power tools.
• Perform DOT inspections and compliance.

• Broad understanding of fleet maintenance policies, FMCSA standards and industry practices.
• Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions as needed.
• Effective communicator and team player.
• Heavy diesel truck and trailer mechanic skills.

• 2+ years of Diesel Maintenance Repair experience.
• Experience using trailer maintenance software preferred.
• Experience working with air brake, hydraulic and electrical systems.

• Conducts some repairs in odd positions and/or confined or close spaces.
• Work is performed under changing climatic conditions of extreme heat and cold.
• Walking long distances; sitting or standing for long periods of time.
• Bending, stooping, squatting, or kneeling on a repetitious basis.
• Fast‑paced environment.
• Exposure to noise and heights.

New Hire Starting Pay Rate: $25.00
* Eligible for a $0.70/hour shift differential if assigned to weekend shift, and a $1.00/hour shift differential if assigned to second shift.
