Field Service Technician

Overview

Wazee Crane, a division of Timken Power Systems, is currently seeking a Field Service Technician for the Broomfield, Colorado site. The role is to troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform scheduled maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists. The Technician regularly works on-site at customer locations and is required to drive to different sites with some overnight and out-of-state travel. This position reports into the Crane Field Service Manager.

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $30.00/hr-$42.00/hr (commensurate with experience and education)

• Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect overhead cranes and hoists
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections
• Identify issues and recommend repair solutions
• Communicate with customers and internal team on repairs and safety concerns
• Complete work efficiently and keep customers informed
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports and checklists
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as required

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
• Must meet DOT driver requirements and maintain valid DOT medical certification
• Willing to travel overnight in and out of state
• Must pass background check and drug/alcohol screening
• Able to work indoors/outdoors in extreme heat/cold and at heights for extended periods

• 2+ years of experience with similar equipment in manufacturing
• Advanced electrical/troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of NEC, CMAA, OSHA, and ASME
• Experience mentoring junior technicians or trainees

• Work with minimal supervision
• Professional and effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Work independently and contribute collaboratively to a team effort
• Proven ability to multi-task, troubleshoot, and problem-solve
• Consistently meet short deadlines and long lead times
