DESCRIPTION
The role involves learning and executing copper and fiber optic cabling installation, termination, and testing for voice, data, security, and CCTV systems in commercial and retail environments. Technicians will learn the company’s installation method, communicate progress, and maintain tools and safety compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES- Arrive at job sites per crew manager or job foreperson instructions.
- Follow oral or written instructions to install, terminate, and test cables per blueprints and scope.
- Use the Source method of installation and communicate daily progress.
- Submit training reports, mileage requests, and expense reimbursements weekly.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain on‑site safety.
- Use company software to track hours and expenses.
- Participate in departmental and company meetings as instructed.
- Team player who follows instructions.
- Can‑do attitude toward customers and coworkers.
- Efficiency and quality focus.
- Willingness to ask questions and learn.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Acts in the company’s best interest.
- Ready to work overnight shifts and travel as needed.

- Punctual with predictable attendance.
- Owns and maintains necessary tools and safety equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year low voltage experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a good motor vehicle record.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to perform pre‑ and post‑offer tests, references, and background checks.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English.
- Ability to obtain required telecom tools.
- $2.00 pay differential for night shifts.
- Company‑paid lodging with $45.00 daily meal per diem.
- $30.00 monthly cell phone allowance.
- Company vehicles with paid mileage if not available.

The position is primarily offsite in commercial or construction environments with moderate to loud noise. Workdays start at 7:30 AM with flexible hours; night shifts begin late evening and may extend over midnight. The role requires on‑call and weekend availability, out‑of‑town travel, and overnight stays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent standing, walking, bending, and working at heights up to 25 ft.
