We are accepting Laborer applications on an ongoing basis for both natural gas work & wet utilities. These roles will assist with the installation of gas mains, sewer lines, water lines and telephone cable.
Responsibilities- Digging, filling, back-filling, grading or other excavation work including trenches, pits or tunnels
- Non-technical support of installation of gas mains, sewer lines, water lines and telephone cable
- Installation and maintenance of underground cable and conduit as well as overhead cable
- Repair, remove or replace damaged landscaping
- Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight
- Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer
- Operate vehicles used for hauling
- Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe
- Travel frequently within the state for work assignments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current driver’s license with good driving record
- Current DOT physical or ability to obtain one
- Professional or personal use of hand tools
- Interact effectively and professionally with the public, customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- 1+ year experience in construction, farming, manual labor and/or outdoor work
Pay Range: $27.83 - $28.94
