Project Manager GENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB (Summary)

Performs the installation, maintenance, and repair of all underground site electrical equipment

• Ensure he understands the company policies and work in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Ensures personal protective equipment is used as required.
• Utilizes proper procedures for electrical duties.
• Isolates electrical power to equipment for others as required in accordance to project lock out procedure.
• Troubleshoots equipment using testers and by referring to wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in their workplace.
• Repairs and maintains all equipment in accordance with the preventative maintenance program.
• Utilize the 5-point safety system as specified within the site safety management system.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Provide professional and courteous interaction with all stakeholders.
• Ensure work is completed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.

• Tradesman must ensure they have a good understanding of the electrical systems, electrical procedures, and maintenance programs.
• Work closely with electricians to learn and develop as an Electrician.
• Maintain and update all required logbooks.

• Work in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Cementation.
• Incorporate Health and Safety considerations in all functions and daily activities of the position.
• Monitor work environment for health and safety hazards or infractions and reports the same to Health and Safety Department.
• Keep work area clean and free of clutter.
• Use proper equipment for the job, i.e. stepladder vs. chair.

• High School Diploma, Technical degree, or equivalent preferred.
• 7 years Electrical experience, 4 years as a licensed Electrician.

• MSHA Underground Certification required.
• Electrical Trade Certificate - certified for 480 volts.
• Valid Drivers Certificate.

• Must have a good understanding of the electrical systems, electrical procedures and maintenance programs.
• Decision making and prioritization skills.
• Possess problem solving, critical thinking skills.
• General knowledge of applicable mining regulations, safety codes and acts.
