Millwrights are responsible for maintaining plant machinery, company grounds, and buildings to ensure plant longevity and smooth operations that support production goals. Depending on level, Millwrights may perform basic maintenance, complex repairs, and/or lead and train other Millwrights. These positions serve the organization by enabling high levels of production and maintaining a safe, efficient, and positive work environment.

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to assemble equipment and products.
• Utilize a variety of handheld tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Follow all safety procedures, report hazards, and participate in safety programs.

• Perform maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery.
• Assist with and complete assembly, troubleshooting, repair, and installation activities.
• Conduct basic, general, and complex mechanical maintenance work.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and system issues.
• Perform repairs independently or under supervision, depending on complexity.
• Support preventive maintenance and operational reliability efforts.
• Train, assist, and mentor less experienced employees as needed.
• Follow established safety procedures, maintenance standards, and operational guidelines.

• Knowledge of machines, mechanics, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, plumbing, and construction.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools and electrical meters.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational training in electrical and/or mechanical fields preferred.
• Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of maintenance experience, depending on level of responsibility and expertise required.

• Experience in Plant, Machine Shop, Service Department, or Agricultural Shop/Warehouse.
• Experience as an electrician, machinist, or mechanic.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• May sit or stand for long periods.
• Frequently lift, push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, reach, walk, and stand.
• Occasionally squat, kneel, crawl, grasp, grip, climb, and sit.

• Indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes, noise, machinery, and moving equipment.
• Fast‑paced work environment.
• Required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, protective footwear, and gloves (additional protective gear as needed).

Millwright: $24–$46 per hour
