Role DescriptionThis full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician role is based in Broomfield, CO. The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems, including gas and electric equipment. Daily responsibilities include performing service calls, completing preventive maintenance, inspecting systems for safety and efficiency, and documenting all work performed. The role involves communicating clearly with customers about findings, repair options, and recommended upgrades to support comfort and energy efficiency.
The technician will also collaborate with team members, follow company and manufacturer guidelines, and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve HVAC system issues efficiently and safely.
- Experience with maintenance & repair and preventive maintenance for gas and electric heating and cooling systems.
- EPA certification (or ability to obtain) for safe handling of refrigerants and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction, with professional communication and a service-oriented mindset on every job.
- Knowledge of HVAC system controls, thermostats, air distribution, and basic electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work in varying weather and job-site conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC training program, apprenticeship, or relevant certifications is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as required, follow safety procedures, and work independently or as part of a team.
