We are seeking a motivated and reliable Electrical Apprentice to join our team. The Electrical Apprentice will work under the supervision of a licensed electrician to assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. This entry-level position provides valuable hands‑on experience and opportunities for technical and professional growth.
Job Responsibilities- Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, and other systems according to code and safety standards.
- Work alongside licensed electricians to learn trade skills and procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements on the job site.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, supplies used, and hours logged.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients as needed.
- Assist with routine maintenance checks and support troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Attend ongoing training and classes as required by the apprenticeship program.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in electrical work.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety regulations, and procedures.
- Willingness to enroll in or currently enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program.
- Comfortable working at heights, outdoors, and in confined spaces as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and climbing ladders.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if travel is required).
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Completion of pre‑apprenticeship or vocational training program in electrical or related trades.
- Previous experience working in construction, maintenance, or similar fields.
- Exposure to electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, or mobile apps for documentation).
