Position Summary

The Surveillance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and optimization of all surveillance systems and equipment to ensure continuous, reliable operation. This role focuses on conducting regular inspections, performing preventive maintenance, installing cameras, and troubleshooting technical issues to maintain optimal system performance. The technician provides technical expertise that supports surveillance operations while ensuring gaming integrity, asset protection, and full compliance with regulatory, internal control, and departmental standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Installs, configures, maintains, and repairs cameras, recording devices, servers, workstations, monitors, and related surveillance equipment.
  • Ensures optimal performance and uptime of all surveillance systems, including preventative maintenance and timely troubleshooting.
  • Diagnoses and resolves hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues impacting surveillance operations.
  • Performs system testing and validation to ensure compliance with gaming regulations, Internal Controls, and departmental standards.
  • Assists with system upgrades, expansions, and capital projects related to surveillance technologies.
  • Maintains accurate records of system configurations, maintenance activities, and equipment inventories.
  • Collaborates with IT, Security, Facilities, and external vendors to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
  • Responds to emergency technical issues and provides on‑call support as required.
  • Ensures all work is performed discreetly and in a manner that protects the confidentiality and integrity of surveillance operations.
  • Provides technical support and basic training to surveillance personnel on system functionality as needed.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities for system improvements, efficiency gains, and technology enhancements.
Technical and Educational Skills
  • Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, cameras, NVR systems, servers, and related electronics preferred.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, cabling, switches, and basic cybersecurity principles.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and system integration issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and system documentation.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, IT, or related field preferred.
  • Must be able to qualify for all applicable gaming and regulatory licenses.
Experience Required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience installing, maintaining, or supporting CCTV, security systems, or similar technical systems; or equivalent experience in IT, electronics, or network support roles.
Physical and Operational Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Must have 20/20 vision (corrected if necessary) and good hearing.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
