Operating Engineer – JLL

As an Operating Engineer, you'll support operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems at a dynamic 1.5M square foot campus. This state-of-the-art facility comprises office space, conference centers, laboratories, and data centers. You'll work as part of a dedicated 5-person engineering team, ensuring the seamless operation of critical building systems.

This is an on-site position that offers hands-on experience with diverse building technologies and the opportunity to make a direct impact on facility operations and tenant satisfaction.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Complete assigned tasks for entire campus building systems including HVAC (chiller plant/cooling tower maintenance), painting, pressure washing, lighting systems (bulbs/ballasts), plumbing, water treatment, locksmith work, generators, and UPS maintenance
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete tenant service requests promptly
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks according to schedule
• Support on-call or emergency response situations as part of rotating schedule
• Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
• Comply with all safety procedures and statutory requirements
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry
• Universal CFC EPA certification or commitment to achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade school education, union training, military service, or college degree
• Experience with vendor management
• Background in project oversight and coordination
• Familiarity with commercial building systems and facility management best practices

Location:

Broomfield, CO

Work Shift:

7am–3:30pm, Monday through Friday + rotating on-call

Estimated compensation for this position:

66,400.00 – 96,200.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
