Plant OPS Facilities Coordinator.
This role provides hands-on leadership and oversight of the daily activities and personnel within assigned functions. The position works closely with employees, leaders, and other departments to ensure operations are organized, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals.
A key focus of this position is the evaluation, organization, coordination, and oversight of projects that support the ongoing needs of the organization.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, initiative, communication, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of teams.
This position in non exempt and will be required to work 40 hours per week.
Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEA minimum of twelve (12) months of related experience and/or training is required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Regulatory Compliance and Facility Maintenance
Knowledge of applicable regulatory and safety requirements, including UBC, plumbing codes, NFPA, OSHA, and Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards. Ability to maintain facility buildings, equipment, and systems in compliance with applicable regulations through effective corrective and preventive maintenance practices. - Electrical and HVAC Systems
Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and conduit, with the ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems associated with HVAC, boiler, heating, and cooling distribution systems. Ability to properly use testing, diagnostic, and calibration equipment. - Plumbing and Distribution Systems
Knowledge of plumbing systems, including the ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, steam, and hot-water distribution systems and related components. - Sterilization, Mechanical, and Building Systems
Knowledge of sterilizers, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, steam distribution systems, and hydraulic, pneumatic, and computer-controlled systems. Knowledge of closed-loop heating and cooling systems and their related components, with the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair these systems.
The Facilities Maintenance and Compliance role is responsible for supporting a safe, functional, and regulatory-compliant healthcare environment. This position ensures compliance with applicable standards and requirements established by The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, EPA, and local and state regulations
.
The role provides hands-on maintenance and technical support, including the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, equipment, building systems, physical structures, grounds, piping, and electrical systems. The position also assists with construction, renovation, equipment installation, and other facility improvement projects as needed.
