ABOUT THE ROLE
Sturgeon Electric is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead crews on commercial and/or industrial projects.

Sturgeon Electric’s Commercial and Industrial (C&I) electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. We also offer design-build and pre-construction services and has in-house pre-fabrication and AutoCAD capabilities.
Essential Functions- Own and run your assigned commercial electrical jobs in the field, from mobilization through completion.
- Lead, direct, and develop your crew, setting the pace and the standard on site every day.
- Partner with your project manager on scheduling and manpower, keeping the job on track and flagging changes early.
- Order and manage materials so your crew has what they need, when they need it, without waste or delay.
- Initiate and track RFIs, chasing down answers quickly so work never stalls.
- Spot and document change orders in the field, then work with your project manager to price and capture them.
- Install and oversee work to code, to plan, and to customers standard of quality.
- Track production against the schedule and budget and keep your project manager informed of progress and issues.
- Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and inspection ready.
- Keep every job in full compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Safety is never optional.
- Experience running commercial electrical jobs and as a Foreman is preferred. Extensive field experience will also be considered. If you have spent years in the field and you are ready to lead, we want to talk.
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installation, the National Electrical Code, and jobsite means and methods.
- The ability to read and build from plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Proven leadership. You can direct a crew, set clear expectations, and hold people to a standard.
- Comfortable coordinating with a project manager on scheduling, materials, RFIs, and change orders.
- High attention to detail and strong organization on a busy jobsite.
- Initiative and the confidence to speak up early, raise concerns, and bring solutions, not just problems.
- A journeyman electrician license, OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- This will be a union position. Wage depends on experience and certifications, and benefits are detailed within the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
- Our Foreman wages are determined by the collective bargaining agreement with Local 68 and is $54.29 an hour.
